About Us

The first suite of jewellery is based on Housman’s famous “Loveliest of trees,( the cherry now)” poem and comprises rings, pendants and earrings. Each piece is available in 18ct gold, 9 ct gold and sterling silver. Many pieces can be either yellow or white gold or the design can incorporate both.

The range includes brooches and gem set pieces, and any piece can be commissioned and gem set to suit a particular anniversary or birth date.

Each is an open work design entwined with the leaves and flowers of the cherry tree, carefully crafted and finished in Ludlow, making each piece a unique and treasured heirloom. All Shropshire Lad jewellery will be hallmarked by an English Assay office, denoting the fineness of the precious metal and will be stamped with the Shropshire Lad mark, denoting the authenticity of each piece of poetic jewellery.

This unique jewellery recreates in precious metals and precious stones the haunting and evocative poetry of A.E.Housman’s “A Shropshire Lad.”
